It is our pleasure to announce what the club committee see as great news. Leicester Westleigh are entering a ladies team into the league next season. We feel that this shows the club is moving in the right direction and all of the hard work from all of those involved in the club is starting to pay off.

Rochelle Wimbury has been selected as Leicester Westleigh Ladies 1s team captain. Rochelle has done a fantastic job in terms of making this happen; she has recruited many players from various teams across the county. Rochelle has been playing hockey herself for a number of years now, with her most recent team being Half Century. Leicester Westleigh have also got some fantastic young players ready and raring to go.

This creates a fantastic pathway for our young junior superstars and will help to keep players within the club. The ladies team will be training with our academy players, with the clubs lead coach (Dave Dytham) taking the sessions.
