With new Junior Leaders and new adult volunteers joining the coaching team, the club brought in Calum Slaney to run a session covering key aspects of supporting a coaching session. From loads of fun warm ups, which certainly had everyone warm and smiling, to running through the basics. He managed to pass on key coaching points for the most basic skills. The building blocks to a good hockey position. Then ran through some small sessions and breaking them down into steps and how to build it better and more challenging. With this he challenged all members to add something to make the activity better. Ending in some game play. Really good session that helped new volunteers and leaders at the club understand basic fundamentals and gain some confidence.
Westleigh again pushing forwards developing the club
Big thanks from Head Coach to Calum for another useful course.
