A reception will be held at the Leicestershire Golf Club after the funeral on the 3rd August.

It would be very helpful if you could let me know if you are planning to attend the funeral so that we have a little idea as to numbers particularly for the reception at the Leicestershire. It is recommended that you arrive early to ensure that you can park and be settled in seats ready for the service and the arrival of David, and the family.

A number of you have already written little anecdotes or stories relating to David’s sporting exploits . I would welcome more of these stories both on pitch and off pitch and also on and off the golf course. We will try to blend as many of these as possible into both services and certainly compose a memorial booklet for Wendy and the family as a keepsake and memory of David’s sporting life and great friends.

Barry and other County and Westleigh Stalwarts, if you have any records or memories of David’s county and Leicester Westleigh career these would be very helpful.

Thought I would just confirm that Wendy would be delighted if we all wore our brightest ties and our snazziest socks in honour of DNB.
