Great day of hockey today with the focus firmly on getting everyone out on the pitch, involved in games and enjoying their hockey and plenty of smiles to show for it! ??

Our U10 boys and girls, U12 girls and U14 boys were all in action against West Bridgford in a busy programme of matches and warm-ups ahead of upcoming competitions.

The U10 girls showed huge progress with their aggressive defending really paying off, constantly putting the opposition under pressure and creating plenty of chances. Captain Thea grabbed a brace after some brilliant work in the D, and on another day the scoreline could easily have swung our way lots of positives and lots of smiles!

Our U12 girls, supported by a guest goalkeeper, faced a strong side in a great test ahead of the County Tournament. Despite having no subs, the effort and teamwork never dropped, creating chances going forward while defending bravely throughout. Plenty to build on moving forward ?

The U10 boys showed fantastic squad depth despite missing several players, with everyone playing multiple games. Tight matches against both A and B teams included two narrow 1–0 defeats, a battling draw and a deserved win but most importantly lots of enjoyment and development across the squad.

And finally the U14 boys delivered arguably their best team performance of the season dominating possession, creating wave after wave of attacks and firing in countless shots… only to be denied time and again by an inspired opposition goalkeeper! Somehow it finished 0–0, but the quality of play, teamwork and energy on display was outstanding.

A brilliant day all round loads of game time, loads of learning, and most importantly lots of players getting stuck in and loving their hockey. On to the next one! ??
