Westleigh U10s perform brilliantly again!

Following the strong performance from the younger age groups, the U10’s arrived into the wet conditions looking to follow up on their strong performance at the last tournament. With a strong squad, the team didn’t disappoint. Playing 4 games, winning 3 and scoring 13 goals in the process. Goalkeeper Sam kept three clean sheets, and the team looked strong defensively with solid performances from Sofia, Ella, Archie & Lucia, battling away any attacks that came near to the goal. However, the goals came from the three mighty dribblers in the team, and most sides had no answer for their incredible stick skills. William, Albie & Jake caused every side they faced multiple problems and their creativity lead to many of the goals and chances for others. Young Maxwell made the step up into the U10’s and got a debut goal with some great poacher skills, and we can’t forget the endless energy of Tommy covering all sorts of ground for the team. A fantastic day for the U10’s in the rain, and the results were well deserved following many dominant performances. It only helped to increase the excitement for the U10 boys at the County Cup in two weeks time. With the side lead by James Woolley, it was a great day for the U10’s. Onwards and upwards, the future looks bright for this group of players.
