Hi, I'm Jon McGuinness captain of the Mens 2nd XI, and I'm excited for what promises to be a brilliant season in the South East 7 League.

Our aim this year is clear: compete hard, play attractive hockey, and finish in the top four. We have a talented squad with a great mix of experienced players and ambitious young talent, and we're determined to make every game count.

The 2nd XI is a hugely important part of the club. We're committed to providing a platform for our younger players to develop, gain confidence and push toward higher levels, while also offering a competitive and welcoming environment for senior players continuing their hockey journey. We want to create a team where players can challenge themselves, support each other and enjoy representing the club every week.

Most importantly, we want to build a culture of commitment, improvement and enjoyment. If every player gives their best, supports their teammates and embraces the challenge, there's no reason we can't achieve something special this season.

And of course, we'll always have space for any 1st XI players who find themselves slowing down a bit. After all, someone has to provide a retirement plan for the club's ageing superstars!
